my partner and myself have both received a text from 1-347-205-0235 reading the following:
Congratulations, your number made you BestBuy's winner of the day! Go to [URL] to clain your prize! you have 24 hours to claim - I have the feeling that this is a scam. Tried calling BestBuy but could not get through to customer service to verify. Has anyone else received this text? Is it illegal to use another company's name and website to scam people? Just checking in and hoping that BestBuy reads through these messages.

Yep, sorry, it's most definitely a scam. They've been going around. I received it too.

I recommend you contact your cellphone carrier. They will add the number to their SPAM filter and then reverse your charges.

This is indeed a scam text message. I have recieved one as well a couple times. Please disregard any texts from Best Buy saying your a winner. Best Buy will only contact you by phone call and only with your permission. Example, our mobile assocaites ask customers if they would like to recieve a 3 day follow-up call after customers purchase a cell phone from us. This is the only way Best Buy contacts it's customers. Sorry for the confusion.
