Hey folks, just looking for some help narrowing down what TV would be best for me. I've been using a beautiful tube for too long now. I've been doing some research on my own but still haven't put my thumb on what I need.
The TV would be in an open room with a lot of windows around. It'd primarily be used for watching movies and playing games. We'd be looking for something in the 40" range as the wall it's on isn't much larger.
Any insight would be great, and fire away if you have any questions to help narrow it down.
Cheers!

With lots of windows you probably want to stay away from plasma. Beyond that it sounds like you have a screen size pretty much narrowed down, so all that's really left to decide on is cost. Realistically you can spend any amount you want on a 40" LCD or LED TV, anywhere from a few hundred $ to a few thousand $. As cost increases generally so will picture quality and perks. Narrow down the price range that you want to play in and the TV junkies will be able to start throwing out some specific models for consideration!
