Hi

I need to know what is out there ; I have all these video tapes and my VCR is not working. I have a DVD/blue ray player and am not sure if I can record off my TV with it. Help

I recommend looking at this device that will convert your VHS to DVD.

This has the added benefit of not only allowing you to convert your VHS tapes to DVD, but also recording from your Television straight to DVD as well.   Your current DVD player isn't likely to have a recording function (most don't), but this one will act just like a VCR (but for discs).
