Find the best toys at Best Buy contest

by Editor in Chief ‎11-06-2015 09:00 AM - edited ‎11-20-2015 12:59 PM

Toys are an essential part of the holidays. Every kid loves toys—every adult too! Some toys are destined to become a favourite, something that will live on in a person’s memory for their whole life. This is especially true with this year’s new toys. There were many, many absolutely amazing toys released this year. I’ve been able to see and “test” them all.  Unfortunately, most people will only get to enjoy one or two, if they are lucky. Enter this contest and you might be really lucky and win a huge bundle of the newest toys.  In fact, this may be the biggest toy contest you’ve ever seen!

For most of us, some of our happiest memories involve the great toys we knew as children. My favourite was the Ready Ranger Adventure kit.  It had a periscope for spying, a communication tube, and many little compartments and fake dials that stimulated a young boy’s imagination. My brother’s and I all wanted it, after seeing the television commercials, and though my older brother was fortunate to get it, we all played together with it for hours and hours.

As Editor-in-Chief at Best Buy I see how people react to all of the big tech announcements. Even with all the great new tech that came out this year, people I meet are just as interested in the new toys on my desk as they are about the new smart watches or laptops.

This year there were new Sphero smart toys, the new Parrot drones, and new Meccano robots. Of course, the most exciting toys were based on movies. Check out the great reviews we posted about the Jurassic Park robot dinosaur, or the many new Star Wars toys.

Best Buy has all of these toys, and many more. They have toys for all ages: toys for babies, toys for young children and toys that will make any adult feel like a child!  We are giving away a huge selection of these toys in this contest.  I think this could be the best toy contest I’ve ever seen.

Here are the four prize bundles to be won.

How to enter:

This contest is really easy to enter. Simply post a comment below telling us what is the best toy available at Best Buy right now that you would like. You can only do this once, but there is a bonus entry too: leave a comment below and tell us about the best toy you received as a gift when you were younger. That means you can enter a maximum of two times.

What you can win

When I was a kid I loved hot wheels and the different  attachments that go with it like the tracks and city maps that go with it. I didn't care much for dolls, I always played with my little brother toys. They were more fun and interesting.

The best gift I received when I was a kid was a Cabbage Patch Doll. But what made it so special is I received a note from Santa's elf telling me I had one more present but they hid it because they were in a hurry.

I would love to play with the 3Doodler Pen 2.0! I would be like a kid again making little things like I used to with playdoh (which I still do with my 4 year old, lol)

My favourite toy I received as a kid was hands down an Easy Bake oven.

My mom and dad have always struggled for money. Every year they asked what I wanted for Christmas and every year I would say something I knew they could afford, one year I asked for paper and paint, one year I asked for underwear, one year was a pillow. They always tried their hardest to get me what they knew I really wanted. They knew for a couple years I wanted an Easy Bake oven but couldn't afford it and I knew this, until one Christmas morning as I sat there with the excitement in my eyes ready to open my last gift, wondering what would be in that big box... I ripped off the paper from the corner and saw what it was, I remember putting my head in my hands and crying, my mom was crying and my dad was teary, it was my Easy Bake Oven. I remember crying because I knew how much money this was and I wondered why my mom and dad were working such late hours leading up to Christmas.

Now having a 4 year old and a 3 month old, I understand the struggle my parents went though, and just like my parents tried their **bleep** hardest to get me what I truly wanted, I try with my son.

Sorry about the rant, don't know where it all came from, lol!
