When it comes to laptops, size does matter. Usually when we're picking out a new one, we'll often compromise size for functionality. And by this, I mean that if we want a hot new little side-dish like a netbook, we'll go in knowing that it will have a less powerful processor, less battery life, and less storage. In plain English, it means that the computer may start to slow down when we run too many programs, we may have to buy a second battery for longer road trips, and we won't be able to store as much of our multi-media as we'd like. It's a sacrifice many are willing to make in order to avoid lugging around a 5lb+ mammoth in between business lunches, parent meetings, or school projects.

Samsung, however, is challenging this norm with their new 9 Series. This sexy and sleak laptop weighs in at less than 3 lbs. - that’s less than three cans of pop! Plus it’s practically paper-thin measuring only 1.63cm thick. The beauty with this hot beast is that she comes with an Intel Core i5 Processor 2537M which uses low voltage for extended battery life (up to 6.5 hours!) and with it's Turbo boost technology, it clocks up to 2.3GHz. Move over Apple, Samsung is giving the Macbook Air some serious competition.

The 9 Series sports a 13.3-inch screen so that you'll have no problem opening multiple windows as you multi-task your way through work and home life. The screen is LED backlit and comes with an ambient sensor, which automatically adjusts the brightness. This means you can say goodbye to eyestrain. When you're in a dimly lit room, your screen will dim with it or if you're at the beach, it will beam with all its glory.

Other mentionable features: The 9 Series has a built-in web cam that is great for video chatting with friends and family; or conducting online business meetings for the mobile professional. It also has an HDMI hookup so that you can watch your favorite videos and pics on your big screen TV. And finally, it has Bluetooth so you’ll have no problem connecting wire-free accessories with it like ergonomic keyboards, mice, or Bluetooth tethering internet from your phone!

What do you think of the 9 series?
