Giddy with child-like enthusiasm, and as a welcomed distraction from waving his arms about in excitement while drooling with anticipation, Game Blogger Kurtis has thrown together a few things you should be looking forward to (as if hilarious writing, endless guns, and a colorful world filled with bad guys to fight aren't enough) from the upcoming Borderlands 2.
eReading has changed a lot over the last few years, with many more publishers and authors heading straight to digital and bypassing the print experience completely. Although for some of us, having a nice hardcover book in our hand is an experience that can’t be replaced, there are a few eReaders coming out that can almost replicate the feeling. Case in point? The new Sony PRS-T2 was released in Canada yesterday and I was able to get my hands on one to try it out.
I’m the perfect candidate to test the new Dyson Digital Slim DC45 vacuum: I have two large hairy dogs, one furry cat and an amazing collection of dust bunnies along with interesting cobweb sculptures.
Since I have a love-hate relationship with most vacuums (love the results, hate the machines), I approached the Dyson promise of a better experience with some scepticism. Well, I’m late with this blog because I’ve been having too much fun vacuuming. Down with the conventional vacuum cleaner! This machine is worth every penny.
Whether you’re a professional photographer or just an enthusiast who’s looking to up your game, you’ll be glad to hear the latest announcement out of Nikon today - The long awaited release of the Nikon D600 is finally happening, and I'm betting this camera is going to be a big deal to photographers of all types.
The Nikon D600 is a digital camera equipped with one of the most sought after features photographers are looking for – A full frame sensor. Up until now, the image sensor of most consumer DSLRs has been on the smaller side. With the Nikon D600, the sensor is larger, allowing more light to filter in, lets your lenses capture more angles and give you better coverage, and gives you a photography experience that’s as close to capturing real life through the view finder as possible.
Get your Christmas lists ready – Will you be getting a Wii U this year?
Nintendo unveiled full details today on the Wii U and the Wii U GamePad controller, and I can guarantee that more than a few kids (and big kids too) will be putting it on their list this year. And if you remember the craziness of trying to get a console when the Wii first came out, you’ll be waiting at the door for this one.
Launching on November 18th, the completely new HD system will give you an exciting, game filled platform to play with. Plus, you’ll also get a new way to enjoy your favourite TV content.

Over the last year a surge of new and innovative Android-supported mobile devices have been brought to the market; and as a result of this, we’re starting to see an increase in the number of applications available to Android users. Linksys, well known for their high quality Wi-Fi routers, has just released a series of apps that give families more options for controlling and monitoring their household’s wireless activity and Internet consumption. After taking the new apps for a test run, I’m confident to say that Linksys is the router of choice for any family on the Android network.
It’s time to count down the final days of summer and embrace the fall. Soon we will be trading in our t-shirts and shorts for sweaters and jeans. When it comes to fall fashion, I’ve always had a love hate relationship. I enjoy sprucing up my wardrobe, but dread balancing budget with ‘wants’. Do I go for best value selecting several mix-and-match pieces or blow the budget on two pairs of designer jeans and a few tops?
I’ll take a day purchasing the latest tablet, over the latest couture any time! But to help make life for those of us that are perhaps a little fashion challenged, I have three apps that bring the fun back into fashion.
Ultrabooks are slim, lightweight machines that have Intel processors inside. You’ll find AMD processors under other names like Sleekbook and Ultrathin. Technically, an Ultrabook must weigh less than 4 pounds, and be less than an inch thick to be considered for the title. If you're looking for a Windows-based machine packed with power, then Ultrabooks may be a great option for you.
