Over the last decade, Sirius has continued to expand their satellite radio stations. At the moment they offer 69 streams of commercial-free music and 65 streams of sports, news and entertainment. With all these options though, how do you know what to listen to?
My first experience with Rocketfish was when I mounted a flat panel TV on my wall, and I couldn’t have been happier with how easy and flexible the entire system was. Little did I know at the time that Rocketfish has an entire lineup of amazing products for home theatre, computers, mobile phones, and even GPS.

First off, I feel it is essential that I tell you that I’m not exactly a pro fisherman. I can remember exactly two times in my life when I was actually wielding a rod and reel. The first was when I was about five or six. In his infinite wisdom, my father decided to take my brother and I out to a local fishing place (I don’t remember if it was a pond, lake, or a stream in the forest behind our house) where we could bond while experiencing the vast wilderness in the outskirts of Edmonton. I still have vivid memories of the horror I felt when both my brother and father willingly and barbarically pierced live worm after live worm with what I recall to be giant daggers attached to feathers. This was probably the first time my father realized I would grow up to be more princess than tomboy.
It’s a busy world out there. If you’re one of those people on the go all the time, you probably can’t imagine life without the ability to talk hands free. Whether you’re driving a car, washing the dishes, or typing up a report, being hands free with your phone makes you that much more productive.
Now, more than ever, Bluetooth accessories have become a multi-taskers best friend. Choose from a Bluetooth headset, stereo headphones, or Bluetooth speakerphone and you’ll be instantly connected to your smartphone for one touch talking. Some Bluetooth devices even let you use them for voice activated phone calls, where just a simple phrase will dial the phone and get you in touch with the person you want to talk to.

Mobile devices have become a big part of our connected world - a popular theme among the press events today. But before launching into any announcements, Pioneer kicked things off with a trip back in time. In the beginning of radio we wanted 2 things while driving our car - music and information. We only had access to radio signals in our immediate proximity, so for me, having grow up in small town BC, my family and I had access to only one - our local station.
Looking for the perfect gift to get that person on your list who thinks that getting up at 5AM to run in the snow and sleet is a great way to start the day? Look no further than the Nike TomTom GPS Sport Watch. That’s right, Nike and TomTom joined forces to design a watch that not only tracks pace, distance, time, calories and heart rate, but that also tracks and maps each run via an integrated GPS. Runners can even search for their perfect route by searching the catalogue by location, length and difficulty.
There is a certain magical rhythm to the holidays, is there not? Planning and preparation leads to time with family and friends, which always includes eating, and eating and eating...and perhaps a little drinking. Then the week after Christmas comes time to pay the piper. Time for a new New Years resolution, made all the harder by the fact that you just packed on an extra 10 lbs! Rest assured, there are a few tech gifts that may help make this be a year where you actually loose that weight and get fit.
For all you iPhone owners, now there is a unique alternative for using it in your car, and it has nothing to do with using Bluetooth or cable hookups. Oxygen Audio has developed the O-Series car deck, which essentially turns your iPhone into a car stereo and then some. The iPhone clicks directly into the O-Car deck and becomes part of your car’s dashboard by becoming the entire control panel for your car stereo system.
Club Car LLC and GPS Industries recently introduced a sexy-cool golf cart that tells you where you are, how far you've got to the pin, and what drinks are on special. And it lets you order those drinks right then and there, but it won't let you b-line through a couple of sand traps to fetch them. That's probably a good thing.
You can only stare out the window for so long, or find enough things to talk about before boredom sets in on any road trip. It happens to even the most charismatic families, or the best of friends when traveling. So before you pull out of the driveway and onto the highway, download these three must have apps to take your road trip adventure to new heights.
Do you remember the days of folding out a massive accordion style map a week before planning your road trip? Do you then remember trying to fold the thing back into place when finished, or squinting so hard you gave yourself a headache trying to see pencil thin lines that represent a highway? I don’t miss maps at all and I don’t remember how I ever found anything without my GPS.
When I bought my car a year ago, I negotiated with the dealer that Bluetooth be included. I knew I needed it to talk on my phone hands-free while driving and just assumed that’s where the whole Bluetooth thing ended. Well, I was wrong. The other day, I was minding my own business, driving along, listening to music from my iPhone. Like I had done for the past year, I had my iPhone plugged in to the auxiliary outlet and my stereo tuned to AUX. I was a happy camper singing my butt off to Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits.
With Christmas Eve only 2 days away, time is ticking, which has whipped me into a shopping frenzy like no other. Is it just me, or are guys the toughest to buy for? Well my guy is, so I’ve got a list to help all the last minute ladies (like me) out there braving the crowds.
Car PCs offer the advantage of having many Gigabytes of music, pictures, and movies stored in the car. You or your passengers can play games, edit movies, DJ music, etc. This is designed for those people who spend that much time in their car. The set up of this technology is different too; the keyboard has to be hidden and the mouse will have to be the ones they use in space without the ability to easily navigate while driving. There is also not a simple one-touch button on the screen to change music track, which is important to a lot of people.
Tom Tom recently launched the GO 2505 model just in time for Christmas. Naturally, I had to take the sexy little beast for a test drive. Let's just say, he did not disappoint.

When you see that a wireless router uses the “N” protocol that basically means that it uses the latest in wireless communication technology. The type “N” wireless routers have a greater range, perform at greater speeds, and operate at a higher frequency than the older protocol types such as “G”, “B”, or “A”. With having a greater range it makes the connection stronger, which helps to prevent sags and disconnections. The higher frequency also helps defend against wireless interference from other devices such as remote controls or microwaves.
Picture this – two single women in their thirties are on a road trip. They are en route from Phoenix, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada. The desert sun is shining, the roof of their hot convertible rental car is down, and the music is blaring. Life is good.
