by Blogger on ‎10-18-2014 11:56 AM - last edited on ‎10-20-2014 08:09 AM by Editor in Chief

PlayStation TV logo.pngThe PlayStation TV has finally arrived in North America, and brings with a solid lineup of features, including video streaming, an extender option from the PlayStation 4, and the arrival of the new PlayStation Now service, offering full versions of games via digital stream rental. It's small, lightweight and packs a lot of power, and it's just getting started.

Drive the lanes in a big way in NBA 2K15!

by Blogger on ‎10-15-2014 10:15 PM - last edited on ‎10-17-2014 10:29 AM by Editor in Chief

NBA2K15.jpegI'm not going to lie - I have a love/hate relationship with the NBA, and have for the last 15 years. However, if there's one thing consistently that falls into the "love" category, it's the NBA 2K series. With the exception of a glitch that made me rage quit NBA 2K13, I've been a loyal series fan for years now, moreso since NBA 2K11 rocked our worlds and turned the series into the juggernaut it is now.  This year's edition promises to be no different. Come take a look.

My day with NBA 2K15 and the Toronto Raptors

by Blogger ‎10-07-2014 08:03 PM - edited ‎10-07-2014 08:04 PM

2K15Banner.jpgThe Toronto Raptors brought their preseason to Vancouver, BC recently, and I had the chance to attend a day of fun featuring NBA 2K15, the Raptors vs. Kings and even attend NBA Fantasy Camp. The only schooling I'll ever have the chance to do is on the virtual basketball court, or so say my sore quads and lack of vert. Still, it was a great time. Click below to check out the festivities and catch my thoughts on NBA 2K15!

Starter Pack - Agnostic-M.jpgDisney Infinity was a runaway success last year, so how do you capitalize while trying to make things even bigger and better for the next gens? How about inviting the Marvel Superheroes along for the party?  This year, Disney Interactive brings characters like Spider-Man, Thor and the Incredible Hulk into the fray, while introducing more of their own characters and playsets. Disney Infinity 2.0 might be one of the first games you consider grabbing the kids for the Holidays, and lucky for you, it's available on pretty well every console.  Come take a look.

Review: NHL 15 is an enigma in 2014 sports gaming

by Blogger ‎09-20-2014 09:35 PM - edited ‎09-22-2014 01:35 PM

NHL15Bergeron.jpgAsk gamers about NHL 15 and you'll get one of two answers: "It's great because it's the hockey game we've been waiting for" or "I can't believe it's missing so much." The camps will probably remain pretty divided, but the fact of the matter is, if you're in it for the traditional hockey gaming experience, NHL 15 provides it and more. It is, in fact, a good hockey gamer's game. Read on to find out more.

Goro you when you Pre-Order Mortal Kombat X!

by Blogger ‎09-11-2014 09:48 PM - edited ‎10-22-2014 09:32 PM

MK_WB_PS4_3D.jpgThe term "Goro you!" was originally coined back in 1993 when Mortal Kombat came out for the Game Boy and he was a hidden character. With a very limited moveset and possibly the pound for pound worst graphics, it was still the first taste you had of this legendary monster. Well, Goro's back, and he's your bonus if you pre-order Mortal Kombat X!  Find out all the details about obtaining him by clicking onward.

Madden15_CoverArt.jpgI've never been a fan of defensive football in the Madden series.  It seems so often, I'd just be doing the same thing over and over again. Madden 15 changes the way we've played defense, both by vantage point and strategy. This is just one of the many big changes in this year's edition of the Madden series. Come get a glimpse of what this year's edition has to offer.

by Blogger on ‎05-30-2014 12:00 PM - last edited on ‎06-02-2014 05:11 PM by Editor in Chief

WolfensteinTheNewOrder.jpgIt's been a really long time since Wolfenstein was a thing, though for many FPS gamers, it was the first. Some 22 years after the original Wolfenstein 3D graced our 286 computers and sound blasters, Bethesda are now the rightsholders and bring it back in Wolfenstein: The New Order. But was it worth the wait, and is this just poorly rehashed nostalgia? Read on to find out.

Review: Putty Squad [Playstation 4]

by Blogger on ‎03-28-2014 08:23 PM - last edited on ‎04-04-2014 02:54 PM by Editor in Chief

Putty-Squad-PS4-Wallpaper.pngThe game Putty Squad has a pretty screwy life cycle.  Originally released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo in PAL (outside North America) regions, it had review copies released for the Amiga, but Ocean Entertainment started to move away from publishing, and never released it.  Almost two decades passed, and Putty Squad was almost released for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita and then FINALLY debuted for Amiga last year.  Putty Squad is now available in North America for Playstation 4, having been a rest of the world launch title.  Then, it will be released on Playstation 3 and Vita at the end of this month.  Was that confusing enough?  Hopefully the review isn't.  Click on to read about Putty Squad.

Review: South Park: The Stick of Truth

by Blogger on ‎03-04-2014 09:10 AM - last edited on ‎03-14-2014 11:13 AM by Editor in Chief

Stick_Of_Truth_Boxart.jpgIt's been a very long time since there was a South Park console game.  In fact, the newest system when the last console was game was out was Sega Dreamcast, a previous object of Cartman's affection.  Some 15 years after South Park Rally, it's time for the cast and crew to come back a few gaming generations and 200 episodes later.  The Stick of Truth is the first game back, courtesy of Ubisoft, and is a Role Playing Game of all things.  Featuring more fart gags and more inside jokes than perhaps any other video game I've ever played in my life, please come check out the review for this rather unique title.
