I test a lot of headphones, and while just about any pair you get will insert music into your ears, when it comes to higher priced headphones, you want to make sure the sound quality is top notch. Do the new Sony MDR-XB950BT over-ear wireless headphones deliver?
Do you like music that rattles your bones with the sound of thundering bass? Are you also someone that likes your music on the go and personal? As one of the longest running names in technology, Sony has recast itself dozens of times over the past four decades. From producing black and white tube TVs to the Walkman, from the Trinitron to the PS4, Sony has a pedigree of advancing technology with serious style. This year at the International CES in Las Vegas Sony has announced a wide range of products that we can look forward to throughout this year. Want to know more? Read on.
Sony has unveiled its newest line of around and in-ear stereo headphones under the “h.ear” brand moniker, and we get to put the three different types to the test to see if these premium hi-res cans and earbuds can deliver the quality audio people expect from today’s high-end digital music.

I walk about an hour a day to the SkyTrain and home, rain or shine. It’s a great time to listen to new music on Spotify or call friends and family; I’ve spend the past few years flipping between headphones from Bose, Monster, and my Apple EarPods. The one thing that most of them have had in common is that they have a cable running from the earphones to my phone. That cable gets snagged, pulls and will either rip out of the audio jack or pull my phone out of my pocket on a bad day. For the last week I’ve been using the Sony Bluetooth® Wireless Sports Headset on my walk. Have they solved the cable problem and are they worth buying? Read on to find out!
Sony's new swimmable mp3 sport headphones are waterproof. What does that mean? You can take it anywhere you do your exercise without leaving your music behind, including the pool! With features like a tangle-free wire, 4 GB internal memory, quick charging and easy music importing, you can get into your workouts faster without worrying about where you're going to stick your usual mp3 player.
I love music. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, you can be sure that I have headphones of some sort near me, or on me. Needless to say I was pretty excited when I had the opportunity recently to review two models of Sony Wireless Stereo Headsets. After a week of testing, here’s my take on the two models.

The Sony MDR-HW300K Wireless Headphone System transmits uncompressed audio between the base station (TMR-HW300) and the headphones (MDR-HW300). These are not bluetooth headphones, so putting them up to products in that category is not an apples-to-apples comparison.
A nice little package that sets up seamlessly and will get you enjoying wireless audio quickly. Although I wouldn't recommend these headphones for critical listening applications, they could be just the ticket when you need that home theater punch without bothering the neighbours.
After having gone through some 100 pairs of headphones, earbuds and gaming headsets in my life, I'm always interested in the next or the latest and greatest. The Sony MDR-DS6500 Headphones come bundled in the easily largest box I've ever seen for a product of its kind. Fitting, since it promises a big experience within its capabilities. With 20 hours of battery life from a single charge, and the promise of a 3D 7.1 Surround Sound Experience, this promises to be a new welcome part of your audio experience. Come check it out.
When I hear “Sony Walkman” I immediately travel back in time to the late 1980’s when I, like any other self-respecting pre-teen, would listen to the hits of the day on my yellow, plastic, waterproof Sony Walkman. It was portable, super cool, fit perfectly in my pink nylon fanny pack, and allowed me to listen to the Dirty Dancing cassette tape over and over and over again without getting any derisive looks from my parents or older brother.

Portable wireless speaker systems seem to be getting better in both function and design and the Sony Portable Bluetooth Speaker System (SRS-BTM8B) is no exception. It is a very nice looking and convenient portable system that has excellent sound for a smaller system. So if you want to take your music camping this summer, or to the beach, or on a picnic this Sony Portable Wireless Speaker System is a great choice.

Wires on headphones can be very annoying, especially when they get snagged on something and rip the headphones off your head. Once you have a set of wireless headphones you won’t want to turn back, especially if you get good ones that are comfortable and sound awesome. Sony’s Digital Surround Headphone System (MDR-DS6500) are an excellent choice because they go beyond what you expect out of a set of wireless headphones, and they have the flexibility to play off of just about any device.
Kids have small and more delicate ears that are more prone to permanent damage while they are still developing. The other problem is that kids most often know no limits and like to turn up the volume as high as they can. Prolonged exposure to that high volume will inevitably do some damage, and even permanent hearing loss, so if your kids use headphones it is important to see that they are made for children, preferably with the ability to limit the volume to a safe level. Fortunately there are a few options available.

As much as I love the holidays, there are always a few sleepless nights tossing and turning trying to figure out what to get those “P” people on my shopping list. The “P” people are the picky, practical and the probably-got- it.
On my list, the picky people are the teenagers in my life that I buy for. It seems no matter what, I can’t seem to find the right size, colour or style to meet their demands. Almost every year, my hours of wandering through the mall are pointless as my gift selections are returned the week after Christmas. This year I have a lock on a return-proof gift that is sure to bring a genuine smile to their face and keep one less person out of the return line, wireless headphones.
Wireless headphones have just started to become a must have electronic accessory for any teenager who wants to stay connected to their tunes without the tangle of a cord. My top picks for wireless headphones are down below. I have a feeling no matter what choice I make, I can’t go wrong.
Most Moms have super-busy days and can use some portable electronics to help keep them organized but also entertained. Here are some gift ideas for your Mom that will make her feel pampered and help reduced her stress level.
The day has finally (almost) arrived. The last minutes of Christmas shopping are upon us, and even though you swore it wasn’t going to happen this year, you are planning on racing to the mall and beating the clock to find the gifts for everyone on your list.
As a last second shopper, you may be stressing out about finding the best gifts on a budget too. But don’t worry! Here are a few great (and budget friendly) ideas for anyone on your list:

If you travel often, the noise of crying babies, obnoxious laughter, or bickering spouses can be a little frustrating. With that in mind, why not block out those minor irritations with noise cancelling headphones? Sony has a line of headphones with two premium options for avid travellers who need a little more peace and quiet while they’re jet setting around the world.
