The world of RC vehicles is a very fun place to be. Powerful scale model versions of your favorite real world racers, fully equipped to handle serious terrain, they're a lot of fun. That is, they're a lot of fun when they're full of power and ready to go, without the fully charged powercells, well, they're just an exceptionally well designed, aggressive looking model car. Taking the confusion out of keeping your Traxxas vehicles full of juice and ready to go is the new Traxxas iD system. Streamlined and full proof, with their new power cells (batteries) and EZ-Peak Plus Charger, they've taken the challenge out of charging.

Packed with all the power and durability of a Traxxas brand RC vehicle, the Slash is an Off-Road Short-Course Stadium Truck that comes in a variety of configurations and really likes to fly. Whether around corners with insane drifting, or when actually flying. Launching off anything resembling a ramp, the independent suspension makes sure it lands like a dream and keeps going. Now with on-board audio, the Slash sounds every bit as tough as it looks, with real throttle and idle sounds that will make even the biggest kid grin from ear to ear. Let's go for a rip!

You might be surprised how much they can pack into an RC vehicle these days, especially when you're dealing with a Traxxas Latrax. The SST is a 1/18th scale model 4 x 4, all terrain beast of a truck. With independent suspension and a sturdy construction, all terrain means water resistant and tough. You might be surprised where you can go, and how fast you can get there. Priced for the everyday sort of RC fan, it might just be your gateway into a wider world of RC enthusiasm.

Ever watch someone unveil their very serious and impressive RC vehicle - be it boat, plane, or four wheeled - and think, "man that looks so fun, those people are super cool?" Ok, so, maybe not that last part, but the first one is absolutely true. I was recently given a chance to play with some of these ultimate "Big Kid" toys. Powerful, awesome looking, wonderfully designed: I'm talking about the E-Maxx and E-Revo by Traxxas. Come on, let's take a spin.
One of my favourite things about Father’s Day is how it lets me be a kid again. When my kids were younger, this often meant building a LEGO kit together. Now that they’re older and into high tech toys like drones, robotic kits and R/C vehicles, Father’s Day means I get to relive being a kid while playing with gear I find genuinely fascinating —all while bonding with my own kids. If there’s a dad in your life who’s just waiting to unleash his inner child, I’ve put together some high tech toy suggestions from Best Buy’s extensive selection of gear that will have dad (and his kids) pretty happy on Father’s Day.
A more serious line of RC Vehicles catering to older racers, Traxxas blends sophistication with toughness and puts forth the LaTrax Rally car. With waterproof elements and full 4 Wheel Drive, this vehicle (done in the spirit of real rally cars) is capable of powering through the rain, leaves, sand and even snow. How does it hold up to some of these tests? Read on for more.
Able to go upwards of 100 MPH out of the box when it's tuned to the right settings, the flashy and aerodynamic nature of the Traxxas XO-1 Radio Control Car is nothing like you've ever experienced before. With a specially designed engine block and body design, the XO-1 keeps low to the ground to provide a faster driving experience for hobbyists and casual drivers alike.
Ready to take a spin? The XO-1 is now available at a reduced price. Come take a closer look.
On SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! I got the chance to spend some quality time with one of my childhood icons: The Grave Digger Monster Truck! The fun that ensued was even more awesome than my inner child could have ever dreamed of.
Yep, it’s true! It is officially that time of year again. Time to start thinking about Christmas and holiday shopping. While I am a huge fan of Christmas, I swear it feels like we just had Easter! Is it me, or does time fly faster and faster every year? If you’re like me and are a little thrown by how quickly the holiday season has descended upon us, I’m here to help by listing the hottest toys of 2012. Whether you have a toddler, pre-teen, or full-fledged adult to buy for, these toys are sure to be winners.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve owned a few RC cars in your time. In my house, we’ve run through everything from cars to planes and helicopters, and the one thing I can count on for sure is that they won’t last. The run-of-the mill, built-to-the-usual specs RC vehicle can’t stand up to the use and loving abuse from a family of boys who just want to go bigger, farther, and faster.
But the Traxxas Slash 4X4 isn’t a run-of-the mill, built-to-the-usual specs type of RC vehicle. It flies across the grass, speeds across the pavement, and rips up the brush no matter where you put it. With an all-new rigid chassis that’s smooth underneath, it has a high ground clearance to avoid snags and tangles in tall grass and it will bounce back and keep going, no matter how high or fast it goes. It even has waterproof components like the electronic speed control, receiver box, and high-torque digital steering servo, so you can rip through puddles or take it out in the rain.
My kids have destroyed many different types of remote control vehicles in the course of the past few years – some haven’t even made it through an hour with them before it was smashed to bits. But when you buy as many remote control cars, trucks, and helicopters as I do, the best part is you learn a thing or two along the way. And the one thing I’ve picked up is that, when it comes to RC, you go Traxxas or you just don’t bother.
Remember the days when the RC car that your parents bought you for Christmas maxed out at 20 km/hr? Well Traxxas RC Cars would demolish that car in a race. The team at Traxxas has taken the original concept of RC cars and supped it up. Oh! and if you think you’re just limited to RC cars, think again… Traxxas offers RC boats too – same intensity just on water.
