Yep, it’s true! It is officially that time of year again. Time to start thinking about Christmas and holiday shopping. While I am a huge fan of Christmas, I swear it feels like we just had Easter! Is it me, or does time fly faster and faster every year? If you’re like me and are a little thrown by how quickly the holiday season has descended upon us, I’m here to help by listing the hottest toys of 2012. Whether you have a toddler, pre-teen, or full-fledged adult to buy for, these toys are sure to be winners.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve owned a few RC cars in your time. In my house, we’ve run through everything from cars to planes and helicopters, and the one thing I can count on for sure is that they won’t last. The run-of-the mill, built-to-the-usual specs RC vehicle can’t stand up to the use and loving abuse from a family of boys who just want to go bigger, farther, and faster.
But the Traxxas Slash 4X4 isn’t a run-of-the mill, built-to-the-usual specs type of RC vehicle. It flies across the grass, speeds across the pavement, and rips up the brush no matter where you put it. With an all-new rigid chassis that’s smooth underneath, it has a high ground clearance to avoid snags and tangles in tall grass and it will bounce back and keep going, no matter how high or fast it goes. It even has waterproof components like the electronic speed control, receiver box, and high-torque digital steering servo, so you can rip through puddles or take it out in the rain.

My kids have destroyed many different types of remote control vehicles in the course of the past few years – some haven’t even made it through an hour with them before it was smashed to bits. But when you buy as many remote control cars, trucks, and helicopters as I do, the best part is you learn a thing or two along the way. And the one thing I’ve picked up is that, when it comes to RC, you go Traxxas or you just don’t bother.
Remember the days when the RC car that your parents bought you for Christmas maxed out at 20 km/hr? Well Traxxas RC Cars would demolish that car in a race. The team at Traxxas has taken the original concept of RC cars and supped it up. Oh! and if you think you’re just limited to RC cars, think again… Traxxas offers RC boats too – same intensity just on water.
