Ceramic and glass will not work.  I hear some have success with "induction interface disks/adapters".  Do your research.

Put a magnet on your cookware. Metal cookware with poor magnet will work poorly with the stove top.

Only magnetic cookware like cast iron and stainless steel will work with induction cooktops. I'd suggest Infra red cooktop for all other cookware.

Be careful with it, it works like open flame.

Ceramic-clad and nonstick pots and pans, like T-fal Ultimate Hard-Anodized cookware, work with induction stovetops because hidden within the ceramic layer is an iron pan, which is magnetic.
