Online Orders & Shipping of Online Orders

Placing an order on is easy. You can do so as a member or as a guest, but being a member has its advantages. You can easily track your existing orders, review your order history, create a wish list, enjoy a faster checkout process, and more.  You can create a account first, or you can complete your order as a guest and choose to save the information you enter to a new account afterwards.


There are 3 types of orders:


Reserve and Pick Up orders

Placed via, your items are held within the store of your choice for 24 hours until you pick them up and pay in-store. This is the fastest way to get your items.

Online shipped orders
Placed via, the order is shipped to a Canadian address of your choice. In certain cases, your item(s) may be large enough to require a Scheduled Delivery; in that case, the confirmation email you receive will explain how to proceed.

In-store orders
These are purchases made in-store at the checkout counter, or via the website using one of the in-store kiosks with the help of a product specialist. Kiosks are often used when you’re already in the store and item(s) you want are only in stock online. Kiosk orders are shipped to an address of your choice.


To begin placing any type of order, follow these steps:

  1. Find the product(s) you’d like to purchase by browsing the site or by using the search bar.
  2. On the product page, click “Add to cart” to begin the checkout process or click “Reserve in store” to begin the Reserve and Pick Up process. You can also add items to your cart and reserve them all provided a store has available inventory.
  3. If you’ve chosen to reserve your item(s), you’ll be asked for some contact information that must be verified at the store in order to claim the item(s). If someone else will be picking up and paying for the item(s), be sure to enter their information.
  4. To have your items shipped, click the “Checkout” button in your cart and enter your shipping and payment information when prompted.
  5. Submit your order and wait for a confirmation email that will update you of its status.


How can I check the status of my order?
Click on "Order Status" at the top of any page.


Members: Sign in to your account and select the appropriate order.
Guests: Enter your Order Number, Last Name, First Name, and Billing Postal Code. 





To offer you the best possible service, there are a number of shipping options to choose from. Simply select the level of service you want during the checkout process.


Reserve and Pick Up: It's free, fast and convenient. Find a Best Buy location near you .

Standard Delivery: The economical delivery method. Free for orders over $35 with a few exceptions.

Expedited Delivery: The fastest service for a small premium.
Delivered Tonight: This level of service is only available to customers shipping to the Greater Toronto Area and allows you to get your order delivered the same day you place it. Orders must meet certain requirements. 

Scheduled Delivery: Items that are usually larger and heavy. Not available for Store Pickup or Expedited shipping. Does not include Remote Locations. Learn more about Scheduled Delivery.



How do I track my order?

You may track your package by linking to the website of the carrier (e.g. UPS, Canada Post) and using its tracking ID number. This link can be found in the confirmation email you received when your order was shipped. Alternatively, to obtain your carrier and tracking ID number, go to Order Status at the top of any web page.


Can I change my saved shipping information?
As an account holder you can modify your saved shipping information online any time prior to placing an order. However, if you just moved and need to change the shipping information after an order is placed but not processed, simply contact us — we’re here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Can I ship to a PO box address?
Yes. To make sure that orders being sent to PO boxes and rural route addresses get to their proper destination, please include a physical street address or highway number with your order. Items that are over 30KG will only be available for pick up at the local courier pick up depot.


Can I choose separate shipping options for two or more items?
If you ordered two or more items, you can choose separate shipping options for each during the checkout process if the items are in different inventory states (i.e. in-stock, out-of-stock, pre-order, scheduled delivery, etc.) as products in the same inventory state will ship together in a single shipment. Due to size and weight considerations, some items may require Scheduled Delivery.


How do I place an order with multiple shipping addresses?
Currently you cannot send items within a single order to different locations. If you are ordering products to send to different shipping addresses you need to place separate orders.


Can I order a product and ask you to ship it to someone else?
Yes, the "Ship to" can be any Canadian address. Just enter the address where you want your product to be delivered in the "Ship to" portion of the checkout process.


Where can I ship to?

  • We ship nearly everywhere in Canada, but we do not deliver outside of Canada
  • Some items, due to their size, weight, or other factors are not able to be shipped to certain locations. In these situations you will need to select an alternate delivery destination
  • To ensure that orders being sent to PO boxes and rural route addresses get to their proper destination, please include a physical street address, highway number and/or an emergency number when you place your order
  • Oversized items, Scheduled Delivery items, and dangerous goods (such as pressurized CO2 cannisters) require a civic address and cannot be shipped to PO Boxes
  • Delivery services may vary by carrier or location and may require pickup of product(s) at a local postal outlet or distribution centre
  • Scheduled Delivery items require a physical street address, highway number and/or an emergency number with your order


What is Ship to Store?

The Ship to Store option allows you to have your items shipped directly to a Best Buy store. Orders that are $35 or over ship for free, for orders under $35, regular shipping charges will apply. Ship to store is available when you order online items with the help of an associate while you’re in a store.

  • No more missed deliveries. The store will receive your order so you don’t need to worry about being home for the delivery 
  • Stores are open later. Your local Best Buy is likely open longer than postal outlets. This means you won’t need to wait for the postal outlet to open to retrieve your order 
  • Secure storage. Your order is stored securely until you pick it up
