Best Buy Life & Tech Expo comes to Toronto, Sept 12-14





Best Buy is transforming Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square for the third annual Life & Tech Expo. This free public event will give you an interactive look at the latest tech helping to improve the lives of Canadians today. More than 60 top exhibitors will be at the show focusing on three main tech categories: smart homes, connected health, connected toys and gaming.


This year’s expo will be bigger and better than ever, spanning three full days making it one of Canada’s largest tech showcases. There will be everything from drones, to wearables, to virtual reality, to connect toys for you to try out. I’m very excited to once again be covering the show for Best Buy on our Plug-In Blog, and hope to see you there!

Life & Tech: Smart Home and Connected Toys Show


Location: Yonge & Dundas Square, Toronto

Smart Home


Over in the Smart Home you’ll be able tour a custom building with multiple rooms showcasing the latest smart tech. Vendors presenting their latest home innovations include: Smart Pillow, Google Home, Meural, Ring, Logitech, August, Nest, Philips Hue, Playbulb, Nanoleaf, Sony, and Linksys.


All the products will be displayed just like they would in a real home, and you’ll be able to see live demonstrations. Here is just some of the advanced tech you’ll find inside the Smart Home:



Connected Health


In the Connected Health Zone you’ll find hi-tech gadgets to help you stay active and lead a healthy lifestyle. You’ll find a range of products from leading brands such as iHealth, Nokia Health, Muse, Zeep, and many more. Some of the connected health gadgets you can have live demonstrations of include:



Connected Toys and Gaming


For the latest and greatest in connected toys, head on over to the Connected Toys Zone. Here you’ll have the chance to see Star Wars toys unveiled during Disney’s big Force Friday event. This includes the new drones, like the Propel Star Wars X-Wing Battling Quadcopter Drone, and much more.
